Generations of The Rivals and The Jeffersons in Drama
A long history links the Jefferson family to The Rivals from Sheridan to modern performers. It traces Thomas Jefferson’s entry in 1774, Joseph Jeffersons in America, and the enduring Bob Acres and Sir Lucius O T rigger roles across generations. It highlights the 1896 all star tour and Joseph Jeffersons mastery of The Rivals final form.
