A brown horse weighing 1200 pounds with TK brand on the right shoulder vanished from Wirak shearing pens around July 28. The animal is described as skittish and may be sought by ranchers near Ayranch. No injuries reported.

Real Estate Trust Company Fails in Philadelphia
Philadelphia, Aug. 29. The Real Estate Trust Company, once a leading city institution, closed its doors after failing to meet obligations due to loans on insufficient securities by its president, Frank K. Hipple, who died last Friday. Receiver George H. Earle, Jr. was appointed as liabilities reach 10 million dollars against quick assets about 3.5 million and nonconvertible collateral around 8 million. Hipple’s loans to Adolf Segal were secured by the Majestic hotel, Swedish Steel, and Pennsylvania Sugar Refining, with other names not disclosed. Segal says collateral is good. investigation of Hipple’s gains or role proceeds.

Earle Jr. alleges Hipple diverted 65000 worth of securities and 5000000 loaned to Adolf Segal, all unreturned, amid a death ruled suicide by coroner Joseph N. King.
Four Greek laborers killed by train near Loveland Ohio
Four Greek laborers were killed and another man fatally injured when a Baltimore and Ohio Southwestern express struck them at Symmes three miles from Loveland. The workers, on railroad construction, stepped onto a track to avoid a southbound train and were hit by a northbound high speed train, scattering their bodies.
