Survived by wife two generations three grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Masonic funeral held in Harlowton. Burial planned there.

Patrick F. Connolly aged 79 of Reed Point died last Thursday at Community hospital from a heart ailment after a prolonged illness. Rosary was recited Friday at Lowry Chapel and a high mass led by Fr. Charles Dever Monday at St. Joseph’s, Reed Point. Pallbearers included Charles and Ronald McDonnell Joe Bare Fred Swift Wilfred Baker and Ambrose Brumfield. Burial followed in Reed Point cemetery. Born December 23 1877 in Galway Ireland he arrived in Montana in 1898 and worked in Butte mines over a decade before marrying Margaret Mullen in 1909 and settling nearSweet Grass county.

Akron hunter Bud Sieler aims to get lost during elk deer trip
In Akron Ohio Bud Sieler and four companions led by Teddy Thompson headed to Deer creeks for elk and deer hunting. Sieler separated Thursday afternoon built a fire and survived the night with help from Elgen brothers and Sheriff Kenneth Thompson guiding him back to camp. Rehberger and Veigh each tagged a deer and elk respectively. Veigh holds a moose permit and plans more hunting with Sieler as foggy conditions challenged the group.

A buying-minded crowd attended the fourth annual Hereford production sale at the Sidney Fraser Hereford ranch west of Reed Point. Forty-five yearlong Hereford bulls averaged 461 dollars, with 17 bull calves selling for 251 dollars. The sale top reached 1200 dollars for an Evan Mischief bull bought by Arnold Haack of Hobson. Local buyers included Ludwig and other area residents.
