Hon. c. P. Teeley dies after influenza and pneumonia at 5 10 a m. He is remembered as a highly principled, generous citizen whose career spanned Meagher county and Carite during Montana's mining era. The obituary notes his enterprise aided regional development and laments the loss to Harlo wton Wheatland county and central Montana.

O M Hefferlin a Livingston pioneer merchant died of pneumonia in Livingston and was buried Saturday. Born 1853 in Weston Missouri he moved with his parents to Wyandott Kansas City later followed frontier west raising stock in Arizona and California. He came to Livingston 35 years ago and ran a mercantile business with his brother W N Hefferlin for twenty years. Surviving are his widow five children a sister and four brothers.
Funeral for Mrs. Sarah O'Meara and daughter Sadie was postponed after the death of husband and father J. J. O'Meara at 11 o'clock. O'Meara, manager of Centennial Brewery and a national AOH delegate, was active in local mining circles and had lived 37 years in the city. All three had fallen ill with influenza last week.
London October 24 The popular remark on the president note is that it uses the strongest language between nations in modern times. The note is welcomed as it may end the season of discussion with a clear path forward for all governments involved. German Chancellor Prince Maximilian may accept or reject the Wilson platform, signaling hope or impending disaster.
A business men meeting led by H. C. Pound organized the United War Work drive in Sweet Grass County. The November 11 to 18 campaign targets a $4,000 county quota and $170 million nationally for Y M C A Y W C A Knights of Columbus and allied groups.
Edna Engesia McComb, age 15, died October 28 from pneumonia after years of illness including infantile paralysis. A simple service with Rock of Ages and a prayer was conducted by Rev. W. P. Ames, held at Mountain View Cemetery beside her grave amid flowers. She was the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Al McComb of Boulder valley and was remembered as cheerful and beloved by family and friends.
The War Industries Board in Washington denied approval to erect a Park County fish hatchery during wartime. A letter to Frank Arnold, chairman of the County Council of Defense, says hatchery construction is deferrable until hostilities end. The Montana Council of Defense reports the board views nonwar construction as postponable.
