A holiday selection includes silverware hardware novelties cutlery china crockery and glassware at special low prices.
A new carload arrives offering furniture carpets and bedding including chairs couches china closets centre tables music racks book cases and curtains. The Lumber Department lists building materials sash doors glass paints oils varnishes lime cement plaster coal and wood with complete stock for holiday purchases.
Round trip tickets from Big Timber to unspecified destination sold at 836 60 with half fare for children. Sales June 8 9 10 1904 continuous passage return by January 31 1904. Taxes for the year 1903 are due and will become delinquent after November 30, 1903. A 10 percent penalty applies if unpaid by then. Taxes are payable at the county treasurer office in Big Timber Montana from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The notice mentions sale of International Stock Food and local business ads in the same notice.
A Rib Lake Wisconsin company formed to ship sheep from Montana or western ranges in April and pasture them in northern Wisconsin. Capital stock 7000 dollars. officers Braun Getchel and McDonald named. The ranch covers 400 acres north of Rib Lake with two spring water streams and planned improvements. 1000 bred Cotswell ewes expected around April 10. Local interest grows as Wisconsin central railway backs sheep industry along its line. A separate theft notice offers rewards for stolen stock including a black stallion and a buckskin saddle horse, with dates and rewards listed.
Co A of Bozeman won the shooting tournament in Helena with 461 points. Livingston’s Co EB second with 434, and Co C of this city third with 416. Individual honors went to Captain Walsh of II Company with 107. Twenty five at 500 yards and 39 at 300 yards highlighted top scores, while Co C fell off at 500 yards due to incline range. The Co C team included Captain Hannah and Lt White with Private Churchill among others.
