Hanson April 14 1893 Concord Nebraska she studied at Concord High School and Nebraska University Phi Beta Kappa 1913 later principal in Dodge City Nebraska. Survivors include her husband three sons sister and four brothers.

Golden Wedding Anniversary Observed for Rodwolds
Over 150 friends attended a reception at the Lutheran parish hall honoring Mr. and Mrs. Ole Rodwold on their golden anniversary. The event, organized by their daughter-in-law Dr. and Mrs. John Herries, featured music, tributes, and a four tiered wedding cake. The Rodwolds, who came from Norway to Minneapolis in 1902, later moved to Big Timber and have two children, one deceased, two grandchildren and a great grandchild. Out-of-town guests included several Minneapolis residents.

The Ebert Egeland family of Livingston claim a private, secret hole in the Yellowstone river yields unusually large trout. In August Frank Ebert won top prizes with a 6 lb 7 oz Loch Leven. Ted Egeland Jr. landed 4 lb 4 oz. Deanne Egeland took 3 lb 10 oz in September, all from the same hidden spot south or east of Livingston. The exact location remains undisclosed.

A skunk wandered into the Oie Motor Co garage through an open door and spent the night under a lubrication counter. Morning staff learned the animal slept beside a kerosene barrel before water sprayed it free through a back door. Rev. Ocee Johnson and family arrive from Story City Iowa to take over as pastor for the Big Timber and Melville Lutheran churches. He will preach his first service Sunday. Johnson, a Clifton Texas native, is a Luther College graduate with a B A and theological seminary degree. His career includes Mizpah Minnesota St Petri Story City and Conrad Lutheran posts. Mrs. Johnson, formerly Inga Reinersten, is from Groveton Texas and a St Olaf graduate with Texas teaching experience. They have three children Marilyn Kathryn and Mark. An uncle P C Reinertsen helped organize Melville’s congregation as the first Lutheran pastor in Montana.

The Big Timber Sheepherders lost to Harlowton Engineers 18 to 0 after a tight 0-0 first half. Three fumbles and three 15 yard penalties hampered drives as Harlowton remained undefeated, while Big Timber showed strong defense and a solid line. Rich Birgenheier and Mike Edwards spearheaded the Engineers’ attack. Lost Hunter Gerald Barney Died of Exposure in Montana
Philipsburg man Gerald Barney a 25 year old big game hunter died from exposure after being separated from companions in the Skalkaho area west of Philipsburg. Coroner R R Wilson said Barney wandered about 25 miles over 30 hours before succumbing as a seven day search by about 100 men recovered his body. He wore cotton clothing and had only an apple to eat with no matches found beside his single shot rifle.
