John Henry Zorn alias John Henry Miller, 26, was found guilty of first degree murder in the Lester C. Jones slaying on August 12 at the state industrial school's superintendent’s office. A jury reported at 11:30 p.m. The judge, S. D. McKinnon, will sentence him Saturday at 10 a.m.

Illinois youths held in Great Falls kidnapping robbery
Four teens arrested Friday at Paris Illinois are held in Great Falls for the September 14 kidnapping and robbery of Lyle E. Hilliard. Hilliard’s sedan was found with the youths, who named Grant Clark Paul Cook Raymond Higgins and Eugene Beckman. Officers said the group was armed and found Indiana plates on the car. Hilliard was seized near his residence, tied to a tree, and robbed as he prepared to enter his car. Sheriff Ed Shields plans to return the youths to Great Falls.

Pioneer Merchant Dies at His Helena Home
Henry Fisher, 75, a Helena pioneer merchant and former Lewis and Clark state legislator, died Sunday night. Born March 31, 1859 in Maquoketa Iowa, he moved to Fort Benton then Helena over 50 years ago. A Democrat, he served one term in 1912 and was active in mining near Basin Boulder and Rimini. He survived by his widow daughter-in-law Nell Ireland and grandson Lee Ireland Stanford University student who will attend the funeral.

Paralysis Causes Death of Beauvais Rancher
Beauvais Creek rancher Michael Chester died in a Billings hospital Tuesday after a car accident ten days earlier. A 43 year resident, pneumonia caused by complete paralysis in the neck down was listed as the death cause.
