Schedule revision backed by board for livestock rates
ICC examiners urged adjusting western livestock shipping charges to the mileage scale. The plan, prompted by ANLA and NWGA complaints, would cut some rates and raise others. Western states would see 9 to 92 cents per 100 pounds across 10 to 2,000 miles. Rocky Mountain zone rates run 11 to 81.10 cents. Pacific states start at 10 cents and reach 1.01 dollars.
