Committal services were conducted here Monday at 2 from the Lowry Chapel for Dr. Olive Baskett who died of a stroke in Texas. Burial was in Mountain View cemetery. She was born July 18, 1879 in Cincinnati and trained as a psychiatrist.

Bad weather and road conditions force the Dale Carnegie Course demonstration to be rescheduled to Sunday November 12 at 7 27 p m at the American Legion hall. The Montana course is presented by Bob Annis and sponsored locally by the Big Timber Junior Chamber of Commerce. Over forty locals took the course last spring.

Howard Hemphill Dies in Billings
Howard Hemphill age 40 of Rapelje died of uremic poisoning at St. Vincent hospital in Billings after months of failing health. Survivors include his widow Alice and three children. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Sweet Grass county high school prepares a Championship Night in the gym at 7 30 Friday November 10 to honor the conference football champions. Hiney P Lund of Bozeman will present the trophy with Montana High School association. Local staff will introduce coaches and players as the band cheers and talks follow. A movie projector is to be purchased with donations and football and basketball footage will be shown after the presentation.

Fraser Ranch Wins Hereford Trophy at Tri-State Futurity
Fraser Hereford Ranch won the champion pair of females and received a purple ribbon at the Tri-State Hereford Futurity in Billings. The ranch also placed second on a junior yearling heifer, third on two yearlings, third on a get-of-fire entry, and fifth on a junior yearling bull among about 75 cattle from North Dakota Wyoming and Montana. Principal A R Collins reports strong turnout at the high school open house last Thursday with about three quarters of parents attending. Registration shows 154 at the open house and seven more on Friday for a total 161 visitors. teachers held many conferences and the guidance section drew good attendance. The Board of Trustees thanks all participants for a worthwhile two hours.
