Monday night Frank Taylor and J. P. Chark of the K P L lodge hosted Judge and Rathbone Sisters at Castle hall with about eighty attendees. The evening featured progressional whist won by Mist W. C. Clemens and Mrs W. A. Chirk, consolation prizes to Mrs CG HE Lippy and D BE Sheridan, and vocal selections by Mrs A Mulkern and SNM Wueeerford. A grand Hotel supper followed with elaborate decor and dancing to finish the gathering.
Attendees praised the affair as the most enjoyable of its era with roses carnations for ladies and white for gentlemen. Guests felt the hosts went to great lengths for pleasure and entertainment, ranking Taylor and Clark among the best of princes and good fellows.
A special choir practice for those unable to attend Saturday evenings will be held Thursday evenings at the home of Mr. E C Allen. The Junior Circle will be entertained next Saturday by Miss Nellie Lamb and Miss Lottie Moore. Communion service and reception of members are set for 11 o’clock next Sunday. The Christian Endeavor society holds a consecration meeting at 6 30 p m. Mrs Robertson and Mrs Cook will entertain the Homeland Circle next Wednesday.
The Crow Reservation in Montana begins west opening of public lands under the homestead law with irrigation projects. Uncle Sam spends 8900,000 on canals and ditches to establish irrigated farms. Homeseekers can obtain a pocket map showing quarter section plots by mail for 35 cents from the Crow Reservation Bureau in Billings.
The regular annual meeting of the stockholders will be held in the county courthouse at Big Timber at 2 o'clock p.m. Saturday November 24 for electing directors and other business.
