A tornado tore along Bainville Montana main street injuring about twelve people and damaging or wrecking ten buildings. Elevator manager S Mortensin suffered a skull fracture and was in critical condition. foreman John Gelleand was also badly hurt. Land slide destroys tunnel project on Golden Gate Highway
A massive landslide at Yellowstone park wrecked the Golden Gate Highway tunnel project. Contractors Morrison and Knutson saw the mountain top slide last night, exposing daylight and burying several hundred feet of road between Mammoth and Norris Junction. No injuries occurred.
