Bailey Triumph In State Senate Race With 173 Vote Lead
Bailey won the state senate seat to succeed J N Kelly defeating Democrat Franklin 270 to 97 in an unofficial count of 367 votes cast. Bailey carried most precincts with about 74 percent overall, while Franklin carried only Franklin precinct and small pockets elsewhere.
