W A Whittemore in Alturas Oregon reports carved rock pictures on a three mile long basalt bluff near Warner Valley in Lake County. The rows of pictures show Indians with bows arrows deer antelope dogs wolves and birds with undeciphered characters suggesting a possible link to Maya or Central American glyphs.

First Quartz Mill in Montana A Chronicle of 1864
