Judge Benjamin E. Berg filed findings of fact in the Musselshell county case of Germaine Alexander guardian of minor children versus Ebert Sheep Co. The record shows a sheep calf trading mixup with 842 ewes and 30 bucks, one third owned by Alexander, trading for 130 white face Hereford calves not delivered. Plaintiff borrowed 4508 dollars to buy 170 calves, then traded for 175 cows and 6 bulls valued at 6575 dollars, leaving 4575 dollars owed. Cows mortgaged to Montana Livestock Co. A bill of sale covered 130 calves. plaintiff issued a bill for 175 cows. Trades approved by Musselshell court. later 200 sheep delivered, 200 sold, and 400 died. Judgment for defendants for 4575 dollars and costs.

Hamilton Stores Open In Yellowstone Park For Season
Livingston Enterprise reports Hamilton stores at Old Faithful and Lake in Yellowstone Park along with the Old Faithful swimming pool will open Sunday to serve residents and travelers. Employees entered the park Friday as park highways reopen for early travel and a May 15 entrance fee of 3 dollars is noted.

Major G. H. Goosey Buried With Military Honors
Major G. H. Goosey died Sunday in a Rochester Minnesota hospital after an operation for appendicitis. Funeral service was held in Big Timber Congregational church with American Legion burial honors. Goosey served from 1892 to 1917 in multiple posts, became captain and then major, fought in Cuba and the Philippines, and served in World War I before retiring. He was Big Timber mayor from 1931 to 1933 and left a large ranching legacy and a large family.

In Helena on May 9 tentative plans for an all Montana Day at Bozeman on July 2 will be drafted at a meeting of the executive committee. J. J. Flaherty of the Great Falls chamber of commerce chairs the committee named by Montanans Inc. for state chamber of commerce plans. The draft will go to Gov. Roy E. Ayers for approval.

Supreme Court rules on property taxes in Fort Peck
The Montana Supreme Court rules that personal property of people and corporations within the government owned Fort Peck townsite is exempt from Valley County taxes in a 3 to 2 decision. Justice Anderson wrote the majority opinion with Justices Stewart and Morris concurring. Chief Justice Sands joined a dissent by Justice Angsman. The case stemmed from a dispute between the Valley County commissioners and the county assessor and treasurer over tax jurisdiction on military reservation land.
