Two Men Hospitalized After Early Morning Truck Crash
Orville Whitthoeft of Osakis Minnesota suffered severe head lacerations when his truck left highway 10 near Reed Point at 415 am Sunday. Passenger Roy Pomeranz of Alexander Minnesota was treated for bruises and released. Whitthoeft remained hospitalized as the bacon and ham laden truck left the roadway after being forced onto the shoulder by an out of control car.

The Dugout committee of the Woman's club thanks the community for cooperation in improving the Dugout as a meeting place for community and youth activities. Strickland Fish Fry Promises Lake Trout Feast
Big Timber Rod and Gun club hosts its annual Strickland fish fry at Moose hall at 7 p.m. Friday May 19. Ben Strickland arrives with ten frozen northern Saskatch ewan trout ranging 20 to 38 pounds from cold storage in Livingston. He left for northern Canada but will return in time for the event and plans to show films from his last winter trip.

Ludwig Drange Injured In Tractor Accident on Ranch
Ludwig Drange suffered pelvic injuries and severe bruises after being thrown from a tractor on his Deer Creek ranch last Thursday afternoon. His son Martyn found him about 15 minutes after the accident and he was taken to Columbus hospital where doctors report he is recovering satisfactorily and expected to be dismissed in a few days.

At the State Music Festival in Missoula on May 45 6 the high school All State Band and Chorus earned excellent ratings. Reports indicate several dogs died or were sickened in recent weeks amid suspected poisoning. Mrs. J. D. Herries’s Labrador Retriever survived after vet treatment for poison exposure from a muskrat carcass. Tim Brophy saved his dog by inducing vomiting with salt water. Other families, including the Lowrys and Counters, reported losses. An unidentified dog died under a pickup near Harold Boe’s residence.
