Two Cape Cod Brothers Charged in Margret McMath Kidnapping
Harwich Port Massachusetts May 6 Two Cape Cod brothers an unemployed chauffeur and a garage mechanic were arrested for the kidnapping of 10 year old Margaret McMath daughter of Mr and Mrs Neil C McMath. The $60000 ransom in currency was recovered in a denouement of the case. Kenneth Buck 28 allegedly masterminded the plot with Cyril Buck acting as go between and emissary. Peggy was returned to her parents with no ill effects.

Crow Agency May 5 Robert Yellowtail returning from Washington as Crow delegate predicted sweeping changes in Indian affairs following John Collier’s appointment as Indian commissioner. Helena Independent reports Charles F. d Autremont age 60 of 622 North Warren street died after his car overturned on a steep hill between Bynum and Browning about 30 miles north of Chateau. Sheriff officials said he was en route from Browning when the wreck occurred. An eye witness indicated the vehicle lost control on the winding descent.

Two Widows Beaten to Death in North Dakota Farm Home
Beach North Dakota May 9 Two elderly widows Mrs Rosalia Dodge 85 and Mrs Mattie Steger 65 were beaten to death in the Dodge farm home one mile west of Beach. Officers seeking Frank Genino 60 found him unconscious at the rear of his nearby home with a bullet wound in his head. Steger had been Geninos housekeeper but recently moved to her mothers home after a quarrel with him.

Who Shot Wilcoxen Still Unanswered
Billings Gazette reports months of investigation into the slaying of George W. Wilcoxen, Northern Pacific conductor, ended with the dismissal of the information against Clifton Sterling of Sonnette on motion by County Attorney Chris W. Demel. Mrs Lashorn Fractures Hip After Train Platform Fall
Mrs M H Lashorn, Livingston matron and pioneer, suffered a complete fracture of the left pelvic bone when struck by a rushing traveler at the station as she prepared to board a Sunday morning train to California. She is under hospital care at Lott for weeks, with a plaster cast covering much of her body while fragments knit. Mr Lashorn accompanied her to the station.
