An editorial notes eastern professors visiting Montana to hunt fossils and questions locals in Big Timber. It condemns yard debris dumping on neighbors and criticizes vacant lots misused for convenience. It warns that cows tethered near 200 feet damage trees and bark, urging the stock ordinance to include this nuisance to keep the city beautiful.
The column lists staff names and deadlines for exams and events at the school. It notes Baccalaureate on May 7, exams May 18–20, senior play May 21, and commencement May 22.
