Deaths in Sweet Grass county claim three long time residents George W. Moore age 66 Thomas G. Shipton age 68 and Robert Neumayer who would have been 80. Moore died at his son in law’s ranch home after a flu attack and a Christian Science funeral was held at the Congregational church. The service drew many locals and visitors with a large procession to the cemetery.

Muri Begins Role on State Board of Equalization
Helena Independent notes Daniel J. Muri is appointed by Governor Erickson to the state board of equalization. He will take seat Monday, replacing J. W. Walker who resigned to seek the Republican nomination for governor. Muri, a Republican, joins Democrats J. H. Stewart and E. C. Caruth on the bipartisan three member board. He has 40 years in Montana and 26 years as Roswell county district court clerk.
