Funeral Services Held Sunday for Judge Thomas E. Lee
Funeral services were held Sunday at the local church for Judge Thomas K. Lee with Rev. A A Holbeck officiating. The service drew a large crowd of residents and former locals, and pallbearers included Harry Snyder Billings W D McKenzie Sam Cohn W A Conwell W J Hannah and D J Walvoord. Burial followed in Mountain View Knights of Pythias lots. Helena March 29 The state highway patrol begins its annual campaign to ensure all motor vehicles are in safe condition before spring traffic. Supervisor Lou Boedecker says drivers will be urged to check headlights brakes windshield wipers horns and rear vision mirrors and cars must be able to stop within 37 feet at 30 mph. The patrol will inspect for defective lights and other safety faults.

Transient Killed in Glasgow Freight Yards
In Glasgow on March 29 a man killed in the freight yards was tentatively identified as Wesley I. Shreaves, 53. He fell from a moving flat car loaded with lumber when an air brake release jostled him. An army discharge and Chicago tax receipts aided the identification.

Helena March 26 The state board of pardons announced it would approve a parole for Harry Irby of Ovando who has served 22 years of a life sentence in Montana state penitentiary for the slaying of Lee M Cunningham. Irby pleaded guilty in Powell county district court in 1916 and the parole board recommended release.
