A civil defense meeting will be held at the Legion hall next Thursday at 7 30 p m with officials from Billings in charge. Sheriff Walter Osborne announced a short film on atomic bombing and air defense officers will explain the need for a full ground observer corps staff. The program notes local volunteers have responded but about 80 more spotters are needed for the sky watch.

The third annual square dance festival will be held at the high school gym on Saturday April 11 at 8 pm. The program includes at least 18 square dances seven couple dances or mixers and four exhibitions with one humorous act. Guest callers come from Mammoth Gardiner Livingston Martinsdale Harlowton Roundup Billings Absarokee and Fishtail. Harvey Close of Twodot will be master of ceremonies. Half of the net proceeds go to the local hospital building fund. Lunch by the American Legion Auxiliary follows and dancing continues at the Legion hall until 2 am.
