Protecting Game and Fish Laws Take Effect Next July
Montana adopts a new state game and fish law creating a three member commission and a game warden. Open seasons run August 15 to December 31 for land birds and September 1 to December 31 for big game. Bag limits 100 grouse or prairie chickens per person and up to two bull moose or three bull elk in a season. Penalties range from fines to jail. the executive agent will enforce rules and report to the governor.
