Old Timer J A Oliver Succumbs to Pneumonia
J A Oliver a long time resident and pioneer of Montana died Friday at age 75 after eight days of illness. He mined near Alder Gulch and was the first freighter down the Missouri with partner Bill Plummer. He later ranched across the Boulder and at 120 acres near the Little Timber ranch. He never married and had no known Kentucky relatives. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Episcopal church with Rev. Sutton officiating.

Court adjourns to June in local criminal libel case
