Two youths sentenced for Ballantine burglary
Two 20 year old CCC camp enrollees from Ballantine Ohio and Toledo pleaded guilty to burglary. Robert T. Brown of Hamilton and Walter Bilius were each sentenced by District Judge Ben Harwood to one year in Montana state prison. Loot included whisky and merchandise valued around 175 dollars. most items were recovered by Sheriff Dan Stephenson.

Train Crash Kills Five Burlington Workers
A speeding freight train rear ended a work train carrying about 300 Burlington shops employees returning home from shift. Five men died and a sixth was seriously injured. Fergus County Man Restored to Citizenship
Acting Governor Hugh R. Adair restored citizenship to Joe Manos of Fergus county who was released from the state penitentiary after serving nearly seven years for a second degree murder charge. Plane wreck kills distinguished visitors near Hearst ranch
A chartered plane carrying Sunday visitors to Hearst ranch crashed near the estate airport in fog, killing Lord Terence Conyngham Plunket Lady Plunket and the pilot T J Phillips. Indian youth Albert Ellsworth from Helena Montana was held in Spokane under five thousand dollars bail charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He is accused of shooting W. T.
