Reports on new arrivals to dry lands across the state show mixed prospects for crops amid a dry hot season. April and May lacked rain, June was below normal, and scattered showers caused varying outcomes in neighboring localities.
On a lawn at the bride’s parents' home Capt. Ernest R. Patterson wed Miss Beulah Elizabeth Busha in a fairyland setting. The ceremony led by Rev. Mr. Pope featured flowers, electric lights, and family attendants with a reception-like atmosphere.
Last Friday June 24 the Better Farming Special by Northern Pacific arrived at Big Timber at noon and stayed two hours. The seven car train carried lectures and displays on dry land farming with tools like a spring-tooth harrow and a complete farm equipment flatcar. Lectures in each car covered horticulture livestock seed testing and dairy topics with experts from the state school. one complaint only was heard.
