Local notes report engagements and moves including Dorothy Iverson to Tom Simmons with a August 5 wedding planned. Other items mention cousins visiting in Tib Timber, cartoon film plans, Yellowstone camping trips, moves to Billings, and arrivals from Oregon. Jim Surface named to the Dean’s List at Dawson College in Glendive.
The Wilitgro Garden Club gathered at the Dugout on Monday June 19 with 22 members answering roll call by naming favorite June flowers. An invitation was extended to attend the Absarokee Garden Club annual flower show on June 23. Members reported on the C.D.CO and County Federation of Women Club, and a trip to Laurel Unity Club flower clinic was noted. Lulu Walton directed the program with John Tuttle of Billings presenting slides on Montana flowers and wildlife. Ione Bristol and Edith Cameron hosted a luncheon. Reporter Helen Brekke recorded the event.
