Tragic Death of Leona Clifton at Annie Woods House

Josephine Tollescoe known as Leona Clifton, an inmate of Annie Woods in the tenderloin, died by morphine overdose Tuesday morning after delaying suicide. She left Sheridan Wyoming a- couple of months ago with a saloon keeper Oscar Nelson as a former partner. The funeral was paid by Nelson. Rev J. Pope officiated at the Woods house and burial followed in the local cemetery.

Thieves Steal Four Bailey Bros Horses In Local Pastures

Four valuable horses belonging to Bailey Bros were stolen Tuesday night from pastures near the Bush and Burris ranches. Only one horse bore a brand and no clue to the thieves exists. About ten days earlier W A Clark reported two race horses stolen and later found nearby, suggesting a cached theft pattern in the region.

Special order from the adjutant general calls an election of a first and second lieutenant for Company C N G M. A meeting of officers and men will be held at the drill hall near Timber, Montana on Wednesday June 25 1902 at 8 30 p m. Stolen Horses Offer Reward From Bascey Bros

Four head of horses stolen from a pasture described as a sorrel mare with face stripe and four young horses plus two buckskins, aged 11 to 15 years, weights from 1050 to 1400 pounds, some with faint brands. Bascey Bros. offer 20 reward for recovery and 50 for the thief.
