In Helena on June 5 a survey found Montana counties burning election registration records under a 1937 law. Four counties faced court orders restraining burning and the latest to burn include Big Horn Carter Meagher and Sweet Grass. Early Day Sheepman George Taylor Dies in Livingston
George Taylor, an early Fish Creek sheepman and Park County rancher, died Monday night in a Livingston hospital after a short illness. He was 75, born in Aberdeen Scotland, emigrated to Canada, moved to Montana in 1890, and later ran a Sheep ranch north of Livingston with spouses, leaving a widow. Funeral services were set for 2 p.m. at Franzen mortuary in Livingston.

Medley A. Waters sixty nine year old publisher of the Rapelje Advocate died Saturday at 8:40 am in the home of his brother Harry J. Waters in Rapelje from stomach ailment after four months of illness. He lived most recently in Rapelje with a printing background and had earlier moved to Montana in 1913 to homestead near Billings. He leaves a brother two nephews a niece and other relatives.

Lost airliner found near Salt Lake City in Wasatch search
Alpine Utah June 6 A battered airliner lost since December 15 has been found near Lake Hardy ridge Wasatch mountains southeast of Salt Lake City. Five men and two women occupants are presumed dead and buried under deep snow. Four local men discovered the wreck and plan to claim a $1000 reward offered by Western Air Express.

Youthful murderers given life sentence in South Dakota
Norman Westberg and Howard Christensen, both youths from Chicago, were sentenced to life terms by Circuit Judge John F. Hughes for the murder of Ada Carey of Blunt during an attempted robbery near Onida on May 21. They were received at the South Dakota penitentiary in Sioux Falls on Saturday after pleading guilty.

Funeral services were held at Smiths chapel for Harold Bud Heebner a 19 year old Laurel youth who died from injuries after a head on crash on Laurel highway. Rev H E Chappell officiated. Interment was in Mountview cemetery. Heebner was son of Mr and Mrs J R Heebner of Laurel and survived by three sisters a brother and grandparents. Out of town relatives included several of Mrs Heebners sisters and other family from Philadelphia Big Timber Hamilton Fort Peck Hardin.

Nine Burn to Death When Bus Overturns
In Redding California on Friday a Greyhound stage overturned at Shiloah Springs. Nine passengers were burned to death as flames engulfed the wreckage and trapped victims. Coroner Roy S. Duggins reported nine bodies found and that all aboard likely perished.
