City Park recreation plan outlined by Lions group
A city park summer recreation program was outlined by a coalition of Lions Moose Jaycees and Legion members after parent surveys showed strong interest. Recommendations include full time and part time lifeguards a protective fence access to the wading pool rules for equipment use volunteer help and a nine week term from June 18 to August 17 with a total cost around 900 dollars funded by the city and participating groups.

Drowning tragedy ends search for 14 month old in West Boulder River
The body of Gayle Doig a 14 month old child of Mr and Mrs Bill Doig was recovered Monday afternoon after a frantic search by police and volunteers from Park and Sweet Grass counties. Gayle walked into the West Boulder River while playing with her brother and disappeared. The father leaped in but could not reach her and nearly drowned himself. A second near accident occurred when two men on horseback nearly fell into the river. The body was found by Bob Monroe of Livingston after a color trace appeared in brush on an island a mile downstream. A line and rubber boat crew led to the recovery despite the boat overturning briefly. A potato weighted float helped trace the river drift. Funeral services are set for 2 p m today at Lowry Funeral Home with Rev E Brentwood Barker officiating.

Myrstol Cosgriff Tie The Knot At St Josephs Church
Harold Richard Myrstol and Mary Elizabeth Cosgriff wed Saturday at St Josephs Catholic Church rectory in a ceremony attended by immediate families. Gerald Cosgriff served as best man and Pat Hager announced a family gathering afterward. The couple later earned metallurgy scholarships for the 1956-57 Montana School of Mines term. Advance Detachment Departs for Camp Harrison
An advance detachment of the National Guard led by Bill Dempster Warren Patten and Terrance Gallentine left this morning for Fort Harrison to prepare for the company arrival. The encampment lasts two weeks with thirty two members traveling Sunday by motor convoy under Lt. James Rath of Livingston, company commander.
