Montana Power Co Submits Its New Table Of Rate Reductions
Helena june 2 the Montana Power Co filed an offer to voluntarily reduce rates following a show cause citation by the public service commission. The plan cuts private use first 100 kwh to 2 c per kwh then 4 c for next 50 kwh and 2 c for all over 150 kwh. Commercial lighting heating and domestic service would see substantial reductions with July 1 effective date if approved.

Another Family Perishes in Sodom Fire near Exeter
In Exeter Ontario, Mrs Silas Stanlake and four children and her brother died in a house fire at Sodom. Silas saved Beatrice 20 and Harry 12 by dropping them from a window before perishing in the flames while Alfred Stanlake and an infant perished in the blaze. The blaze origin is under investigation.
