J L Marvin first settler on the Glass Lindsay irrigation project returns from Plymouth Ind to spend part of summer. His son Harry S Marvin died April 28 in Riverside Calif after a brief illness. Marvin, 28, had hoped to recover in Montana, then Texas. Body sent to Plymouth for interment. He leaves behind a grieving father and widow.

Montana to appoint new surveyor general
Washington dispatches report John F. Cone will retire as surveyor general of Montana. His successor is J. G. Locke of Livingston, 30, a Montana State College graduate in 1904 and practical engineer.
