Hebgen Lake fishing limited near Hebgen Dam opens weekends
The Montana fish and game commission announces a partial opening of Hebgen Lake in Gallatin County to fishing on Saturdays Sundays and legal holidays from January 21 to March 26 1961. The area within 200 feet of the upstream face of Hebgen Dam remains closed due to safety, with the dam gate control tower and outlet structure posting as closed beginning January 21.

William Wood Dies at Rest Home
William Wood, 68, died at the Big Timber Rest Home at 11 36 a m Saturday from cerebral apoplexy. He will be buried in Olivewood cemetery, Riverside, Calif. Born January 31 1892 in Hartford Indiana he lived in Big Timber from 1901. He married Minnie E McMahan in 1916. He worked 27 years at the Riverside citrus experiment station and retired in 1958 moving to Melville three years ago. Survived by wife Minnie son Walter D Wood Riverside a brother Sam Wood Sedalia Missouri and three grandsons Larry Eugene William John and Wayne Douglas Wood Riverside.
