Helena Jan 11 Final passage of the house substitute for senate bill 95 extends the time for payment of 1920 taxes and remits penalties while a second measure funds the cashing of legislators warrants. The bill delays delinquent tax sales to Oct 1 and refunds penalties if paid. a 1 percent monthly penalty applies after Oct 1. The measure also authorizes investing inactive funds in warrants drawn on the general fund. About 72 funds affected.

Henry F. Sears pioneer editor of Montana died at his Bozeman home from heart disease at age 54. Survived by wife and three children Frank Sears Mrs George Davenport and Thomas Sears a brother Frank J Sears a sister Mrs Frank Alderson and another sister in Chicago. Funeral held this afternoon under Elk’s lodge auspices. Sears a leading Republican and Montana Press association member. Born in England, raised in Canada, came to Bozeman 35 years ago.

Young Man Crushed In Small Mine
