Mrs Averil L Fallang 50 died of cancer at Community Hospital after weeks of treatment in Billings. Funeral at St Mark’s Episcopal Church with interment in Mountain View. Pallbearers nephews Gilbert Egeland Douglas Goosey Jr Jim Goosey Bob Napoli Erin Goosey and Louis Goosey. Survivors include husband Oscar Jr two sons Chris and Eric sister Ardath Suhre and brothers Gilbert Gordon Douglas Goosey Malcolm and John Goosey.
A $100 reward is offered through the Montana highway department for information leading to the apprehension of anyone shooting or vandalizing highway signs. The offer is joint by the Contractors Association, the Petroleum Dealers Association, and the Motor Transport Association, per Leo Ray of the local highway maintenance department. Montana spends about $50,000 yearly to replace damaged signs as sign vandalism increases. Most damage comes from bullets and shotgun pellets. The fish and game department cooperates. reports can be made to game wardens, highway patrol, sheriffs, or other law officers.
Paul Sanders aged 45 died of a stroke in Great Falls on Christmas Day. Funeral and burial were in Bozeman Friday. Born December 15 1918 in Big Timber he served in World War II with the South Pacific unit and was wounded in action earning a purple heart. He later married in Bozeman and moved to Great Falls where he worked as a restaurant cook. Survivors include his parents a son 16 two brothers Ralph and Lloyd Sandsriess a nephew and several uncles and aunts.

Her prize loaf Viennese Striesel includes a basic sweet dough with raisins candied orange mace and nuts.
Chimney Creek resident Cheryl Nevins returns from teaching duties in Los Angeles for a short vacation in Bozeman. Grandmother Edith Day of Portland joins the Nevins for the holidays while Marie Chapel and son Gary travel by bus from Bakersfield California for a ten day visit.
Secretary Hodges forecasts the U S economy expanding about five percent in 1964 and prices remaining stable if a tax cut is enacted soon. Personal income has risen about 300 dollars per person over three years and could grow another 100 in 1964, with GNP near 620 billion if tax relief passes.
Mn and Mrs Sven Stenberg were feted at an open house on Sunday Dec 29 for their Golden Wedding Anniversary at their daughter’s home in Big Timber. Five children and thirteen grandchildren attended, with details of cake, hosting, and family origins noted.
