Free Agricutural Institute to discuss dry land farming
Sweet Grass county farmers are invited to a two session annual institute at the court house next Thursday March 5 with top local and state speakers. Dr Campbell of Lincoln Nebraska will miss due to sickness but other specialists will cover dry land farming and moisture conservation. Dr Suddith of Billings cites a million acres within 100 miles of Billings as potential dry land fields and shares his own successful trials in the Lake Basin area and Musselshell region.

The Band to stage a Friday night minstrel on March 6 with four blackface comedians a 35 voice chorus and elaborate scenery. Crew labors ten days in the Auditorium crafting mechanical effects while the band refines its program. A noon parade Friday marks the show's kickoff.

Last Friday night Big Timber witnessed a highly praised amateur play. Cast included Grace Pound Beulah Busha Eva Severance Dorman Kellogg Ernest Patterson Sam Pound and Bert Pound. Bert Pound as Jerry the tramp and Dorman Kellogg as the villain drew strong praise. The cast delivered professional level performances with strong music and vocal numbers well received.
