The Averna Golf Course a half million dollar public facility is close to debt free needing $9 636 64 to clear remaining pledges Of the $60 280 40 pledged $70 453 56 has been collected leaving $9 636 64 outstanding If fulfilled the county will own a debt free course open to all including tourists Each dollar paid to use the facility is expected to generate about seven dollars for the community and the course operation will be funded by pledges and contributions by the Overland Recreation Association.

Cubs and dads decorate cakes contest at the Dugout
A Cub Scouts father and son cake baking and decorating contest is set for 7:00 pm on February 24 at the Dugout.
