Former Deer Creek Resident Dies in Billings
Mary Amelia Frost 77 died Sunday night at a Bil lings nursing home after a stroke. Born March 9 1875 at Mission Creek she lived many years in Crow Agency Pryor Big Timber and other towns before moving to Billings. She is survived by a son Alvin Frost and a daughter Ida Humphrey among seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Crow Agency Baptist Church with burial in the Crow Agency cemetery.

Orvin Fjare was appointed by Governor Aronson to the board of public welfare. He will appear before a senate committee in Helena for confirmation this morning. Fjare spoke at a Lincoln Day dinner in Fairfield Tuesday and addressed an American Legion meeting at Ft. Shaw last night. He will stay in Helena Friday and Saturday for a Young Republican meeting.

Early Day Resident Maggie Irvine Dies in Los Angeles
Maggie Irvine, longtime Big Timber resident, died February 2 in Los Angeles after years as an arthritis invalid. Born in Scotland, she came with family to Livingston in 1887 and later moved to Big Timber. Her brother Alex Irvine died January 16, 1952, in Los Angeles.

Aronson Signs Toll Bridge Bill for Missouri Crossing
Gov J Hugo Aronson signed a bill Tuesday creating a toll bridge authority under the state highway commission to authorize toll bridges across the Missouri River. Livingston February 13 John Cudney of Grey Cliff paid a 100 dollar fine after pleading guilty to reckless driving in Justice of the Peace W S Murphy court. The patrol ticketed him after his car went out of control on Highway 10 fifteen miles east of Livingston, overturning and injuring two passengers Don and Irvin Meyers. All were treated at a hospital and released.

Disease Among Sheep Has No Cure
Bozeman Montana ranchers warned of vibrionic abortion a disease causing abortion in sheep spreading to 11 western states. Dr E A Tunnicliff of Montana State College said the disease has no known cure and may strike any ranch any year. He urged rapid identification and sanitation including burning aborted lambs and protecting pregnant ewes with clean water.

Severely Injured In Auto Accident Near Big Timber
Mrs. Jackson White of Livingston, formerly of Big Timber, suffered multiple facial injuries and a broken kneecap after losing control on highway 10 east of Big Timber. Her car struck an embankment and a telephone pole. she was treated at a local hospital and moved by ambulance to Livingston. The wreck was found by Mervin Sell and L P Officer who were returning from a sale.
