Ninety years ago Norwegian settlers near Melville organized Montana’s first Norwegian Lutheran Church. The group, from The Settlement, included the Ellingsons Becken and Clausen families who arrived in 1881. Sweet Grass County commissioners accepted a new professional medical facility beside the Sweet Grass Community Hospital. The first tenant Dr. Thomas Ivey and staff began moving Tuesday and plan to reopen Friday. The four doctor two dentist layout can be adjusted to three doctors and one dentist. Dr. Richard Nichols may join in a few weeks with an open house planned later. Monthly suites rent at 350 includes janitorial heating lighting water and garbage. tenants pay own phone service. A parking area on Hooper Street remains to be finished.
