Bertha Skaarland 85, matriarch, stands with daughter Inga Mortenson and granddaughter Mrs James Kerr, as well as Neale Sikveland and Kerr family members. Neale Sikveland holds his son Neale Jr while twins totter nearby. Bertha arrived from Andheim Norway in 1907 to join Cornelius Skaarland and has lived in Big Timber ever since. Inga moved from Hampton North Dakota in 1906 and married Einar Mortenson. James Kerr was born in Hampton and moved to Circle in 1913. Neale Ejikveland, 24, works for the Northern Pacific railroad. his son Neale Jr was born in Everett Washington during his father’s Army service.

Mrs Ralph C Taylor 68 former Big Timber resident died at her Billings home early Saturday after ill health from a December hip fracture. Born Mitchell South Carolina September 17 1884 she married Ralph Taylor in Hardin in 1932. They lived in Billings Big Timber and back. Survived by husband a daughter Mrs Chris Obenauer California and two grandchildren.

Services Held For Mrs. Mary Keller
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at Big Timber Lutheran Church for Mrs. Mary Egen Keller 77 who died Thursday at Community hospital. Rev. Gilbert Oppen officiated with music by Mrs. Chas Nichols and Mrs. Ted C. Busha. Interment followed at Mountain View. born in Trondheim Norway July 16 1875 she immigrated to the United States in 1900 later moving to Melville and Big Timber where she worked and married Grant Keller in 1903. Forest Keller her son survives along with three nieces and a nephew. She was active in the Big Timber Lutheran Ladies Aid and the Pythian Sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bert Gardner were held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. John Gilhooley officiating. Pallbearers included Pat McComb Jesse Duncan William Clayton Roy Mahlum John Carney and A. T. Ellison. Interment followed at Mountain View. She had been a Sweet Grass county resident and died at her Manhattan home after a long illness. She was born Ella Mary Mae Carthy in Lavern Minnesota and was the last of ten children. She is survived by her husband a niece Mrs. Kenneth Marlenee of Scobey a nephew Rush Templeton whom she raised three other nieces and three nephews and a cousin Mrs. Blanche O'Ragan of Seattle.
