Apples Fed to Flames Burned Carload at Red Lodge
An entire carload of apples was intentionally burned at Red Lodge. J. G. Clark of Fromberg, a state horticultural board member and local fruit inspector, set the blaze after finding the apples diseased. The shipment originated in Walla Walla and was redirected through Helena and Red Lodge, with 90 percent showing cooling meth and other infections. Also noted is damaged Ohio apple trees needing dip treatments and Edith Patterson visiting home from St Paul for holidays.

Contracts Set For Two New Bridges In Sweet Grass County
The Sweet Grass County commissioners awarded two bridge contracts after 42 bids. Security Bridge Company won Reed Point plan No 3 for 19800 and Grey Cliff plan No 1 for 14750. Deeds for free right of way must be filed by December 24 for Grey Cliff and December 28 for Reed Point.
