State Withdraws Highway Project in Park County

Lions Win Over Absarokee In Season Opener
The Big Timber Lions defeated Absarokee grade school 32 to 21 in their first game of the season. Stephens led scorers with 15 points, followed by Christ with 11. Hinton led Absarokee with 9, Bolin with 8. Lions led early and never trailed, 6-2 after one, 14-10 at halftime, and 23-17 entering the final period.

Two Robbery Suspects Taken to Deer Lodge
Three men were jailed in a Grey Cliff burglary case with Victor R. Hogan remaining in county custody and set for trial January 8. Marvin Bellowmine received an 18 month term at Deer Lodge and was moved there Friday. Wayne Colden was sent back to the state penitentiary to serve six years for probation violation.
