In Ellensburg Washington the state Democratic central committee fired executive secretary Jerry OConnell. Earl S Coe was elected state chairman and immediately abolished the office, with OConnell appealing to stay. Huse had not sought re election. The new chair will make all new appointments including the secretary post.

William Gilley 84 died at the home of his step daughter west of Big Timber after a cancer illness. Funeral services are set for 2 30 this afternoon at Lowrys chapel with Rev H S Tool officiating. Burial will be in Cooksville Wisconsin. He was born June 19 1862 in New Ulm Minnesota. Surviving relatives include his step daughter Mrs L J Wilder a daughter Mrs Ina Ellenson of Madison Wisconsin and a brother Frank Gilley of Clear Lake Minnesota.

Annual Christmas Program Presented at High School Auditorium
The annual Christmas program by the high and grade school music departments and the high school Thespian society drew a large crowd at the high school auditorium Tuesday evening. Under directors Magda Sundeen Jean Berg and Dale Cook with Geraldine Neumann assisting, the stage featured a cross with the words Peace on earth, flanked by Christmas trees. The program showcased 38 high school choir voices 50 grade school girls' chorus voices and 37 band members with pieces including Christmas Fantasy O Come All Ye Faithful Hark the Herald Angels Sing and Silent Night among others led by the school ensembles and soloists.
