Water Rights System Proposed by Montana Agency

Montana considers a state water rights system to issue permits and centralize records, with hearings this week to explain provisions. The bill, drafted by the Water Law Advisory Council, would inventory claims, protect existing rights, and coordinate with federal agencies while ensuring prior appropriators. A separate item notes a bridal shower for Miss Vickie Gee at Pioneer Nursing Home and a Santa visit hosted by the Jayceens at the Lutheran church for families and children.
