Funeral Service for John Gjerde Held in White Sulphur Springs
Funeral services were held in White Sulphur Springs for John Gjerde a 49 year old Park county sheepman who died from injuries after a truck accident near his ranch in Potter Basin north of Wilsall. The burial followed a service at the Episcopal church with pallbearers named and church musicians providing selections. He was born in Erie Norway on December 14 1887 and immigrated to the United States about 25 years ago settling first in Big Timber then Park county. He married Hattie McReynolds in Harlowton in 1922 and is survived by his wife three children and a brother in Norway.

John W. Conant 63 stockman of Yellowstone county died after a heart attack caused him to lose control of his car on the Laurel road and plunge into a ditch. He was taken to a Billings hospital where he died shortly after arrival. He had been ill since last August with sleeping sickness and had planned to see his doctor in Laurel upon returning from paying taxes at the Yellowstone county courthouse in Billings.
