Conviction Upheld In Montana For Giving Liquor To Minor
The Montana Supreme Court upholds Jack Smith’s conviction from Madison County District Court for sale of liquor to a minor. State witness Percy Williams testified he supplied the liquor and brought the minor to Smith’s cabin, while Smith claimed no ownership. The court ruled Smith hosted the drinking party and replenished the liquor, making the evidence sufficient for guilt regardless of Williams’s testimony.
