Winifred Rice Durr 50 died unexpectedly early Monday at Sweet Grass Community hospital after entering the day prior. Born November 18 1915 in Butte she lived in Forsyth Helena and Butte before co owning the Rhodes hotel in Columbus and later running the Wagon Wheel bar in Grey Cliff. Survived by mother, siblings, and two sisters. Funeral at Lowry Chapel 10 am with burial at Cus ter Battlefield National cemetery at 2 pm.

Mitten Tree to Be Jayceen Project Display
The Mitten Tree a Christmas display planned by Big Timber Jayceens under Mrs. Jim Graham will hang at Citizens Bank next week. Community members may donate home comforts such as mittens hats mufflers and warm socks for children aged 5 to 17 at Twin Bridges. Truckload of Christmas trees goes missing after crash
After a Thanksgiving Day crash east of Grey Cliff a truckload of Christmas trees was looted by passersby. About 250 trees have appeared in Billings with no arrests. Driver Charles E. Williams of Lake Stevens Washington and a relief driver had guarded the trees at night but not during the day. Williams forfeited a $17 bond for failure to drive carefully. Sheriff Thompson seeks tips on the missing trees.

Two Hunters Lost Near East Boulder Found Safe
Floyd Pierce and Monte Beck failed to return from a deer trip on Dry Fork East Boulder. A Jeep high centered in deep ruts delayed their return until Big Timber hunters pulled it free. They were located early Saturday by responders and escorted out with Game Warden and volunteers nearby.
