Congressman Evans Proposes Building Expansions in Montana
Washington reports Representative Evans will introduce bills to enlarge the public buildings at Butte and Missoula and to authorize purchasing land and building a federal facility at Anaconda. He seeks 373000 for Butte and 180000 for Missoula as a response to inadequate current offices and rent costs. The treasury secretary supports these projects and Evans expects inclusion if a public building bill passes. Opposition may favor enlargement over new construction.
