Serious Shooting Accident Leaves Nevin Foot Amputated
Dave Nevin son of County Commissioner Nevin lost his right foot after a gun discharged while he hunted sage hens near his ranch. He passed the gun to his left hand to greet a visitor, and the weapon went off, shooting the instep. He was treated at home then by Dr DeKay and had the ankle amputation performed the next day by Dr McKay with Dr Alton assisting. he recovered as well as could be expected.
