Insane Sheep Herder Implicates Thefts Near Briggs-Ellis Camp
Henry Franklenburg, a Briggs-Ellis Co. herder, showed violent insanity and was committed after a series of episodes. Sheep vanished from a camp near Little Big Timber with a $1,000 reward for return of stock and $2,500 for arrest of thieves. managers suspect the herder aided the theft. The flock totals about 2,000, with Circle brand noted on ewes and lambs, including Leicesters among the lambs.

Lodge and John Rosland & Co. of Boston, taking about 1,250,000 pounds at an average around 13 cents. Highest price paid was 1 4 4 c by Ryley for Nels Iverson. lowest 11 c for a wet clip. Most clips bought, baled, and shipped. three clips remain. Overall, growers found the season satisfactory with good prices and prompt shipments.

Fish Story From Boulder Stream Amuses Billings
A Billings fishing party including Hon J D Losekamp Morris Arnold and W A Searles fished the Boulder last Saturday as Big Timber papers warn readers away from the stream for the season. A 15 pound trout was landed and reportedly hauled to Commissioner Mc Connell's home for yet another meal. Mrs Mc Connell warned the visitors to relocate if they return in two months to allow stock to replenish.
