Board advances bids for county courthouse site
In special session on April 17 1897 the county commissioners reviewed bids for a courthouse site. Harvey Bliss was chosen for Lots 16 to 20 in Bik 9 Original Plat at 100 plus 1897 taxes, with a May 10 meeting set to receive bids and award contracts. Adjourned by J W Bailey chairman. The board also adopted Hornbeck plans for the building.
