Land Contest in 40 Acre Boulder Land Dispute
The land contest between Thomas Newspalmer and Benj Mielde was heard by U S Commissioner C N Skillman on a Tuesday. The 40 acre parcel on the south side of the Boulder stirred conflict after Wesley Davis and Newspalmer both filed at Bozeman. Davis built a house and claimed prior right, then gave up and took an adjoining forty. Davis later resigned his claim.
